NJCAA DI WOMEN'S SOCCER POLL - WEEK 7
Ottumwa, IA – Following three consecutive shutouts, the Indian Hills Women's Soccer team has jumped to its highest national ranking of the year. The Warriors checked in at No. 7 in this week's National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) DI Women's Soccer Poll, announced Tuesday afternoon.
The Warriors have rattled off three consecutive victories, outscoring their opponents 15-0 along the way. Indian Hills currently owns an 11-2-0 overall record with its two losses to teams currently ranked in top-six in the nation.
The Warriors received 98 points from the voting committee in this week's poll to earn its highest spot of the year, and highest rank since 2021. Daytona State College (FL) held on to the No. 1 overall spot followed by Arizona Western College, Seminole State College (OK), Salt Lake Community College (UT), and Navarro College (TX). Fellow Iowa Community College Athletic Conference (ICCAC) member Iowa Western Community College checked in at No. 6 in this week's poll.
The Warriors are coming off an impressive road victory after dropping Wabash Valley Community College (IL) 8-0 before picking up a pair of victories at home last week – a 4-0 win over Iowa Central Community College and a 3-0 victory over Northeast Community College.
Indian Hills currently ranks 11th in the nation with 50 goals on the year while the team's 0.54 goals against average ranks 10th overall in the NJCAA.
The Warriors return to action Wednesday, October 15 with a home date vs. North Iowa Area Community College at 1:00 PM. Wednesday's contest serves as Sophomore Day for the Warriors where 12 individuals will be recognized prior to the start of the match.
