NJCAA DI WOMEN'S SOCCER POLL - WEEK 1
Ottumwa, IA – The Indian Hills Women's Soccer team checked into the national rankings for the first time this season as the Warriors earned a spot at No. 20 in the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) DI Women's Soccer Poll, announced Tuesday afternoon.
The Warriors broke into the national rankings for the first time since Week 4 of the 2024 season, and just the second time since the 2021 season. Indian Hills earned 10 points from the voting committee in the first regular season poll of the year.
Indian Hills is off to a 3-1-0 start to the year, having won three consecutive contests. The Warriors claimed a 4-1 victory in their home opener Sunday afternoon vs. visiting Western Wyoming Community College. Indian Hills' lone loss of the year came in the season opener vs. current No. 5 nationally ranked Navarro College (TX).
Iowa Community College Athletic Conference (ICCAC) foe Iowa Western Community College checked in at No. 7 in this week's ranking while Lewis & Clark Community College (IL), who the Warriors will square off against on September 12, is ranked No. 18.
Daytona State College (FL) earned the No. 1 overall spot in the poll followed by Arizona Western College, Seminole State College (OK), and Salt Lake Community College (UT).
The Warriors are back in action Sunday, September 7 with a cross-division matchup at Western Iowa Technical Community College in Sioux City, IA. Kick-off is set for 1:30 PM.
