Ottumwa, IA – Sophomore Arnicka Louis (Castries, Saint Lucia/Sir Ira Simmons) of the Indian Hills Women's Soccer team has been named the Iowa Community College Athletic Conference (ICCAC) Athlete of the Week, announced by the conference office Tuesday.
Louis collects her second ICCAC Athlete of the Week honor after leading the Warriors to a 1-1-0 record during the team's opening weekend trip to Texas. The Warriors fell in a tightly-contested matchup with No. 5 Navarro College (TX) before knocking off Cisco College (TX) 5-0 on Sunday.
Louis tallied four points in the two matches for the Warriors, scoring a goal while adding a pair of assists. Louis recorded an assist against Navarro before tallying a goal and an assist in the win over Cisco.
Louis ranks 11th all-time in school history with 14 career goals while her 39 career points ranks 12th all-time.
The Warriors, now 2-1-0 overall on the year after a win over Paris Junior College (TX) on Monday, are set for their home opener with the IHCC Classic this weekend. Indian Hills will take on Western Wyoming Community College at 11:00 AM on Sunday at the IHCC Soccer Complex.
