Ottumwa, IA – Ahead of the team's semifinal matchup in the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) DI Women's Soccer Region XI Tournament, the Indian Hills Women's Soccer team held strong at No. 9 in the latest national poll.
The Warriors, who earned the No. 2 seed in the 2021 region tournament, remained at No. 9 in the national poll for the second consecutive week. At 17-1-0, the Warriors have the second-most wins in the nation behind top-ranked Tyler Junior College (TX) at 18-0-0. Indian Hills the second-highest ranked member of the Iowa Community College Athletic Conference (ICCAC) behind No. 5 Iowa Western Community College.
In its lone match last week, the Warriors topped Motlow State Community College (TN) 3-0 to close out the regular season with a perfect nonconference record.
The Warriors are set to take on No. 3 seed Iowa Lakes Community College on Tuesday, Oct. 26 at 2:00 PM at Schafer Stadium in Ottumwa. The winner of Tuesday's match will advance to the region championship, set for Saturday, Oct. 30 against the winner of Iowa Western and No. 4 seed Iowa Central Community College.
