Ottumwa, IA – Heading into the team's final stretch of the regular season, the Indian Hills Women's Soccer team jumped to No. 5 in the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) DI Women's Soccer rankings. The Warriors are one of three unbeaten teams with a 15-0-0 record.
Indian Hills moved up one spot this week to No. 5 after a pair of 2-0 road victories. The Warriors traveled out-of-state to take on Illinois Central and downed the Cougars on Wednesday. Indian Hills closed out the week a victory at Iowa Lakes on Saturday to up its Iowa Community College Athletic Conference (ICCAC) record to 4-0-0 on the year.
Sophomore Bailey Wiemann (Burlington, IA/Burlington) scored three of the team's four goals on the week while Risa Ogasawara (Yokohama, Japan/Hinomoto) added the fourth. Both sophomores rank inside the top-five nationally in total points on the year.
The Warriors have just two regular season matches remaining before postseason play begins. Indian Hills travels to No. 8 Iowa Western Community College at 1:00 PM Wednesday before the finale at Iowa Central Community College at 1:00 PM Saturday.
