WIEMANN LANDS ICCAC ATHLETE OF THE WEEK

Ottumwa, IA – The nation's leading scorer has earned high praise from the Iowa Community College Athletic Conference (ICCAC) as Bailey Wiemann (Burlington, IA/Burlington) of the No. 15 Indian Hills Women's Soccer team was named the first ICCAC DI Women's Soccer Athlete of the Week for the 2021 season.

The top scorer for the Warriors from a season ago, Wiemann has picked up right where she left off to start the 2021 campaign. The Warriors, currently 4-0-0 and ranked No. 15 in the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) DI Women's Soccer rankings, lead the nation in scoring behind the efforts of Wiemann. The returning All-American, Wiemann currently leads the NJCAA with 18 points, six goals, six assists, and 21 total shots.

Wiemann has tallied at least two points in all four matches this year, including a season-best eight in an 11-0 win at East Central in the season opener behind a three goal, two assist effort. Wiemann also buried two goals in a 9-1 win over Bryant & Stratton College (WI) at the Indian Hills Classic.

As a team, the Warriors have scored 38 goals on the year, the best mark in the NJCAA.

Through 20 career games at Indian Hills, Wiemann has now totaled 50 points on 17 goals and 16 assists.

Wiemann and the Warriors are back in action Wednesday afternoon with a 1:00 PM match at Southeastern Community College in West Burlington, IA.
