Bettendorf, Iowa -- Laura Hallissey scored twice and Indian Hills finished off an 11-2-2 regular season with a 5-2 road victory at Scott CC on Saturday. The win was the 7th in eight conference matches and leaves IHCC with the number-two seed for the upcoming postseason tournament.
Hallissey connected once in the opening half and capped off the scoring with her team-best 14th goal in the 70th minute, with Charlyann Pizzarello getting an assist. Megan McElmeel assisted on the first Hallissey goal, and McElmeel got one of her own to close out a four-goal first half for Indian Hills.
It was Allie Schaefer who got the initial IHCC goal in the 10th minute of play, with Hallissey picking up an assist. After Hallissey's first goal, Kacie Mitchell scored her 4th goal of the season, and her first since a hat trick in the opening game of the fall, assisted by Kelcie Loughren.
Scott got their two goals just four minutes apart in the second half with IHCC keeper Emily Sands making four saves on the day.
Indian Hills outshot Scott 18-9 in the win.
The Warriors are now idle until Nov. 1 when they will host their first game of the postseason tourney, facing either Iowa Lakes or Iowa Central at the IHCC field.
