Faust, Vaughn Lead Women's Soccer All-Region Picks

Ottumwa -- In a season in which they won a school-record 10 games, Indian Hills placed two players on the women's soccer All-Region first team, two on the second team and had two more ladies earn Honorable Mention honors.

Freshman Stephanie Faust (right) and sophomore Lexi Vaughn (left) were IHCC's choices on the 12-player first team; freshman Sophie Woods (right) and soph Rilee Miller (left) were named to the all-region second team; and a pair of freshmen, Olivia Pargeon (left) and Brianna Clark, (right) made the Honorable Mention list.

Vaughn was the region leader in assists with 11 and the transfer added five goals, compiling 21 points for the season. Faust also tallied five goals and contributed three assists while helping lead the IHCC defense.

Woods had a team-leading six goals and four assists and Miller, another transfer, chipped in four goals and two assists.

Pargeon and Clark were two of the four Warriors who played in every match this season. Pargeon had five goals, tying Vaughn, Faust and Vera Aall Flood for second on the team, and added four assists. Clark played solid defense all season long and had one assist.

The All-Region teams were determined by a vote of all the coaches in the Iowa Community College Athletic Conference
