Women's Soccer Team Blanked by Iowa Western

Des Moines, Iowa -- Rayvin Hernandez got Iowa Western's first goal in each half and the Reivers shut out Indian Hills, 4-0, in the semifinals of the Region 11 postseason tournament on Saturday.

The Warriors were stymied by the Iowa Western defense and goalkeeper Haley Johnson and were blanked for the third time this season by Iowa Western.

Indian Hills had moved into the semis with a 3-0 shutout of Dakota County three days earlier, but couldn't generate much offense against the 4th-ranked Reivers.

The loss doesn't diminish the fact that Indian Hills had by far the most successful season in program history, winning 10 matches and the school's first-ever postseason victory. IHCC ended the year with a mark of 10-7-1 and has a number of talented freshmen returning next year.
