IHCC Settles for Tie at Scott

Bettendorf, Iowa -- A second-half goal by Stephanie Faust tied the score but the Indian Hills Warriors couldn't get the go-ahead tally on Wednesday and had to settle for a 1-1 tie with Scott CC in a game that went two overtimes. Faust took a pass from Brianna Clark and headed the ball past Scott goalkeeper Amanda Burrill in the 69th minute to even the score at a goal apiece. And that's the way the score stayed for the rest of the 20 minutes of regulation and two overtime sessions.

Emily McAleer got the home team on the board with a goal in the 20th minute and the Eagles couldn't score after that against IHCC keepers Sophie Ledger and Martz Lopez and the Indian Hills defense.

Indian Hills had 22 shots, including eight by Lexi Vaughn. The IHCC goalkeepers were credited with four saves.

Indian Hills had lost a match to Scott, 2-1, earlier in the season. Wednesday's result left IHCC with a season record of 8-5-1 and a conference mark of 2-4-1.

Two games, both at home, are left on the regular season schedule for the Warriors. They will host Heartland CC on Saturday and Iowa Central the following Tuesday.
