Ottumwa -- A goal by Olivia Pargeon in the first minute of the match started the Indian Hills Warriors on the way to their biggest offensive explosion of the season in a 15-0 rout of Lincoln College on Thursday on the IHCC field.
Pargeon was one of two Warriors -- Sophie Woods was the other -- to record a hat trick and eight different IHCC players had a goal in the contest in which ten of the goals came in the second half.
After Pargeon's goal just 50 seconds into the first half, Woods, Stephanie Faust and Rilee Miller found the net for Indian Hills, before Pargeon's second score made it 5-0 at intermission.
Indian Hills had a whopping 57 shots, 37 of them on goal, and continued to expand the lead in the second half. The ten second-half goals came in a span of 24 minutes. Woods scored back-to-back goals, Pargeon completed her hat trick, Faust and Miller got their second tallies each, Amy Humphrys had a pair and Summer Arjoon and Lexi Vaughn scored late goals to help complete the scoring in IHCC's 6th win of the fall against 4 losses.
Araceli Angel joined Faust and Vaughn with three assists apiece. Pargeon and Humphrys each assisted on two goals and Woods and Miller added to their point totals with an assist.
Three IHCC goalkeepers combined for the shutout. Sophie Ledger and Helen Trujillo shared the first-half duties in the net and Marta Lopez took over in the last half and kept the visitors off the scoreboard.
Indian Hills will play at Iowa Western on Saturday as the Warriors return to conference play and look to avenge an earlier loss to the ranked Reivers.
