Ottumwa -- Playing at less than full strength, the Indian Hills women's soccer team dropped a 7-0 game to Scott CC at the IHCC field on Wednesday.
The Warriors are still plagued by an assortment of injuries, yet played a good first 15-20 minutes according to coach Doug Seigle. "We're really banged up right now," Seigle said, "and I thought we came out a little flat. We did well the early part of the game and had some good scoring opportunities, but we couldn't capitalize."
The Warriors are still in search of their first goal of the season, but Seigle feels like the offense will improve once his team gets healthier. "I think it's a mixture of us getting healthy and maturing," the coach said.
Things don't get any easier schedule-wise for the Warriors, unfortunately, as they travel to take on No. 1-ranked Iowa Western on Saturday in Council Bluffs.
