Pargeon Signs with IHCC

Ottumwa -- Indian Hills women's soccer coach Stephanie Gale has announced the signing of Olivia Pargeon, a forward/midfielder from Union Community High School.

Pargeon, who is from Traer, had five goals and eight assists last year as a junior for the Knights and also plays for the Cedar Valley Select club team.

Pargeon intends to obtain a degree from the IHCC Occupational Therapy Assistant program and eventually become an occupational therapist. She said, "I am very excited to be a part of a new team and play with girls from all over the world."

Coach Gale said, "Olivia has a strong background of club soccer and understands what it is going to take to be a college athlete. Giving a player the opportunity to play in college is my job and players like Olivia I know will not take it for granted. She is hard-working and understands the game. She has a keen eye for the goal and supports her teammates."

Gale expects Pargeon to be a leader on and off the field and says the IHCC recruit is "everything you look for when you want a mature college athlete to help build the program."

"Olivia is a great addition to the 2015 roster and we are very excited to have some Iowa talent," the Indian Hills coach concluded.
