2024 COLLEGE SPORTS COMMUNICATIORS ACADEMIC ALL-AMERICAN® TEAM
Ottumwa, IA – Sophomore Eva Fulk (Ankeny, IA/Ankeny) of the Indian Hills Softball team has been named a 2024 First-Team Academic All-American® , announced by the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Tuesday.
Fullk is one of just 20 individuals across the country named to one of the two Academic All-American® Women's At-Large College Division teams which recognizes student-athletes from two-year and Canadian institutions.
"Eva set the example on and off the field this season," stated Indian Hills Head Coach Tarah Rayos, "and to be named First-Team Academic All-American is a tremendous honor. Eva has been the definition of a true student-athlete. Eva's passion, focus, and leadership brought her a lot of individual success this season, but she also has been such a great representation for our program. We are so proud of her, it is a well-deserved honor."
The 2024 Iowa Community College Athletic Conference (ICCAC DI Softball Offensive Player of the Year, Fulk starred for the Warriors on the diamond as a sophomore. The outfielder produced career-high numbers in batting average (.438), on-base percentage (.516), slugging percentage( .577), runs scored (73), hits (85), doubles (14), triples (5), and RBI (35).
In the classroom, Fulk maintained a 4.0 cumulative GPA throughout the 2023-24 academic year and graduated from Indian Hills as a dual major with an Associate of Arts in Psychology and Sociology. Fulk was named to the 2023 National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) All-Academic Second-Team as a freshman and has been named to the ICCAC Academic All-Region 11 First-Team four times throughout her Indian Hills career.
Fulk will continue her academic and athletic careers at Rockhurst University (MO).
Along with Fulk, Indian Hills Volleyball sophomore Kinga Michalska (Szówsko, Poland/ZSSCHiO) was also named a 2024 First-Team Academic All-American®. Fulk and Michalska became the first females in Indian Hills school history to earn the prestigious CSC Academic All-American® distinction.

The 2024 Academic All-American® Women's At-Large Teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field of play and in the classroom. In order to be eligible for Academic All-American® consideration, student-athletes must be at least a sophomore academically, hold a 3.50 cumulative GPA or above, and be a starter or important reserve for their respective teams. The CSC Academic All-America® program, which was established in 1952, separately recognizes at-large honorees in five divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III, NAIA, and the College Division (two-year and Canadian institutions).
