Springboro, OH – The No. 1 nationally ranked Indian Hills Men's Golf squad captured its third consecutive top-three team finish as the Warriors placed second overall at the Wright State Invitational at Heatherwoode Golf Club.

Indian Hills was one of just two teams, along with host Wright State University, to finish below par in the 13-team field as the Warriors fired an 8-under, 844. Indian Hills has now placed inside the top-three in the team standings in seven of the team's nine events this year.

Sophomore Roman Roth (Wayland, IA/Washington) continued an impressive stretch of play while leading the Warriors atop the team leaderboard. Roth tied for sixth overall with a 1-under, 212 after firing bookend rounds below par. Roth has produced back-to-back top-10 individual finishes while posting five of his last eight rounds below par.

Fellow sophomore Freddie Surgey (Weybridge, England/Cobham Free School) tied for 14th overall thanks to a 5-under, 66 in the second round. Surgey's 66, his second in the team's last two events, was tied for the second-lowest round among the 92 golfers at the Wright State Invitational.

Sophomore Charlie Preston (Hampshire, United Kingdom/The Sixth Form College Farnborough) used back-to-back opening rounds of 69 to tie for 18th overall while sophomore Jedd Thomas (Sydney, Australia/St. Paul's Catholic) surged on the final day, climbing seven spots to tie with Preston at 3-over. Natahan Pouchoulon (Aix-en-Provence, France/Lycée Georges Duby) and Harry McArdle (Burren, Ireland/St. Colman's College) aided the Warriors' efforts throughout the two-day, three-round event, tying for 20th and 23rd overall, respectively.

The Warriors will now enter postseason play with the upcoming National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) Central District Championship April 27-28 at the River Cut Golf Course in Springfield, MO.
