Ottumwa, IA – Freshman Roman Roth (Wayland, IA/Washington) has been named the Iowa Community College Athletic Conference (ICCAC) DI Men's Golf Athlete of the Week, announced by the conference office on Tuesday.
In his collegiate debut last week at the Zach Johnson Invitational at Glen Oaks Country Club in Des Moines, Roth served as the Warriors top placer with a 21st-place showing. Roth posted round scores of 70-70-79to finish 6-over in the 81-player field.
The freshman finished 3-under on all Par 5 holes throughout the two-day, 54-hole event while adding 34 pars and eight birdies.
Roth and the Warriors followed up the Zach Johnson Invitational with a fifth-place team showing at the Tommie Invitational this week.
Indian Hills is back in action October 6-8 at the Grier Jones Shocker Invitational in Wichita, KS.
