Ottumwa, IA – The Indian Hills Men's Golf team enters the new year as the No. 6 ranked team in the nation, announced by the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) DI Men's Golf Coaches Association on Thursday.
The Warriors enter the spring season as the top-ranked team from the state of Iowa after an impressive fall campaign that featured a pair of first-place team finishes. The Warriors placed third at the NJCAA National Championship Preview in Odessa, TX, led by a second-place showing from freshman Frank Vucic (Adelaide, Australia/Seaford Secondary College)
Under the guidance of new head coach Michael Wetrich, the Warriors are primed to open up its spring season March 15-16 at the TankLogix/Ranchland Hills Invitational at the Ranchland Hills Golf Course in Midland, TX. Tournament host Midland College (TX) is the top-ranked team in the latest NJCAA DI Men's Golf rankings.
Following the Midland tournament, the Warriors will compete at the Lindenwood Invitational in St. Charles, MO on March 21-22 and the Butler Spring Invitational in Indianapolis, IN March 28-29.
