THOMAS LANDS GOLFER OF THE WEEK HONOR

Ottumwa, IA – Sophomore Ryan Thomas (Launceston, AU/Rowville Secondary) of the No. 7 Indian Hills Men's Golf team has been selected as the Iowa Community College Athletic Conference (ICCAC) Division I Golfer of the Week.

Thomas becomes the third different Warrior to win the honor this year, joining teammates Frank Vucic (Adelaide, Australia/Seaford Secondary) and two-time winner Damian Osner (George, South Africa/Glenwood House).

Thomas put together the best overall performance for Indian Hills at the Grover Page Classic in Jackson, TN. Headlined by a number of NCAA Division I programs, Thomas shot a 2-over 218 to help the Warriors to a seventh-place team finish. Thomas saved his best performance for last with a 3-under 69 in the third round to finish 21st overall out of 92 golfers. The sophomore shot 1-under through all par three holes and added an eagle to his scorecard.

Thomas and the Warriors are prepping for the upcoming National Championship Preview in Odessa, TX Nov. 3-5.
