OSNER NABS SECOND GOLFER OF THE WEEK HONOR

Ottumwa, IA – Freshman Damian Osner (George, South Africa/Glenwood House) of the Indian Hills Golf squad claimed the individual title at the MVC Fall Invitational last week to earn his second Iowa Community College Athletic Conference (ICCAC) Division I Men's Golfer of the Week honor.

Osner helped the Warriors win the overall team title with an individual effort of 12-under 204. Osner posted back-to-back rounds in the 60's, a 66 in round two and a 67 in round three, to close out the tournament in dominant fashion. Osner's 66 was the best mark among the 55 golfers in the tournament.

Osner has won two individual titles in the team's first three outings of the fall season. The ICCAC Athlete of the Week honor is the second of the year for the freshman after claiming the honor on Sept. 14.

The Warriors have now swept all three ICCAC Golfer of the Week honors this season after Frank Vucic (Adelaide, Australia/Seaford Secondary College).

The Warriors, ranked No. 7 in the latest national rankings, wrapped up the Grover Page Classic on Tuesday and will now gear up for the National Championship Preview, set for Nov. 3-5 in Odessa, TX.claimed the title last week.
