OSNER NAMED ICCAC GOLFER OF THE WEEK

Ottumwa, IA – Freshman Damian Osner (George, South Africa/Glenwood House) has been selected as this week's Iowa Community College Athletic Association (ICCAC) DI Men's Golfer of the Week. Osner finished atop the leaderboard at the Blue River Classic last week.

In his first collegiate competition, Osner fired nine birdies in the opening round to lead the field after day one as the Warriors led the tournament through 18 holes. Osner continued his stellar play on day two where the freshman recorded three consecutive birdies to close out regulation and force a playoff for the outright title.

Osner carried his dominant stretch into the playoff where he birdied both holes to finish the tournament at 7-under and claim medalist honors.

Osner was one of just two individuals to score both rounds in the 60's. Osner led the entire field with 14 total birdies over the course of the 36-hole event.

The Warriors head to the John A. Logan Invitational on Sunday for the three-day tournament.
