WARRIOR SOFTBALL EARNS NFCA ACADEMIC HONORS

2025 EASTON/NFCA ALL-AMERICAN SCHOLAR-ATHLETES

Ottumwa, IA – The Indian Hills Softball team racked up multiple academic honors on Thursday as the National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) released its year-end academic awards.

As a team, the Warriors posted the fourth-highest team GPA in the nation to earn a spot on the NFCA Top-10 Academic team award list for junior colleges. The Warriors' cumulative team GPA of 3.80 trailed only Paris Junior College's (TX) 3.95, Bryant & Stratton College's (WI) 3.85, and Colby Community College's (KS) 3.82.

Individually, the Warriors saw 18 student-athletes named to the Easton/NFCA All-America Scholar-Athlete team for maintaining a cumulative 3.5 GPA throughout the academic year.

More than 9,100 student-athletes from across all levels of collegiate softball were honored by the NFCA, including nearly 900 junior college student-athletes.

In total, the Warriors have accumulated a number of academic honors throughout the 2024-25 campaign:

  • 18 Easton/NFCA All-America Scholar-Athletes
  • 17 NJCAA All-Academic selections
  • 1 College Sports Communicators Academic All-American®

  • 39 ICCAC Academic All-Region selections
