For the fifth consecutive season, head coach Brent Ewing and the Warriors will host the Indian Hills Invitational in Ottumwa. More than 150 student-athletes from across 11 different programs will take on the course at Cedar Creek Golf Course.

STARTING LINE

  • The Indian Hills Women's squad has held strong in the national rankings this year, and currently sit at No. 12 overall in the latest USTFCCCA Poll, its highest spot of the year.
  • Freshman Cindy Rose, named ICCAC Athlete of the Week earlier in the year, has paced the women in back-to-back events, including a solid showing at the Griffon Invite last week with an eighth-place individual finish as the Warriors placed second overall as a program.
  • Sophomore Tiffani Koonce returns to the annual home event after placing seventh overall last season to lead the Warriors to a fifth-place team finish.
  • Freshman Brian Kiprop starred for the Warrior men last week at the Griffon Invite, clocking the seventh-fastest time in program history to place third overall for the Warriors.
  • Bailey Taig will look to build off a strong showing at last year's Indian Hills Invitational where the sophomore placed fourth overall to lead Indian Hills to a runner-up finish.

SCOUTING THE FIELD

11 different programs will take on the Indian Hills Invitational on Friday, including teams from Iowa and Illinois.

  • Women's Teams: Des Moines Area, Faith Baptist Bible, Graceland, Heartland, Indian Hills, North Central Missouri, North Iowa Area, Southeastern, St. Ambrose
  • Men's Teams: Des Moines Area, Fath Baptist Bible, Graceland, Hawkeye, Heartland, Indian Hills North Central Missouri, North Iowa Area, Southeastern, Southwestern, St. Ambrose
  • Des Moines Area took home the men's team title at last year's meet while the women's side placed second overall.

WHAT'S NEXT

Indian Hills will head into postseason competition with the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) Region 11 Championship Friday, October 24 at Lakeside Municipal Golf Course in Fort Dodge, IA.
