Ottumwa, IA – Sophomore Brandon Ford (Perth, Western Australia/Duncraig) of the No. 11 nationally ranked Indian Hills Men's Cross Country team has been named the Iowa Community College Athletic Conference (ICCAC) DI Men's Cross Country Athlete of the Week, announced by the conference office on Tuesday.
Ford lands his fourth-career ICCAC Cross Country Athlete of the Week honor during his two-year career at Indian Hills. The sophomore helped lead the Warriors to a fourth-place team finish at the 2024 Dan Huston Invitational in Waverly, IA on Saturday.
Competing at the Max Cross Country Course, Ford crossed the finish line in eighth place as the top junior college finisher. The sophomore posted an 8k time of 25:04.7, a 17 second improvement from his 2023 performance at the Dan Huston Invite.
Ford, who has led the Warriors across the finish line in each of the team's first three meets of the year, returns to action with the annual Indian Hills Invitational October 11 in Ottumwa at Cedar Creek Golf Course.
