Ephraim, UT –No. 11 Indian Hills Men's Basketball used a late-game rally to surge past Salt Lake Community College (UT) on the opening night of the Snow Classic. The Warriors upended the Bruins 77-70 to move to 6-0 on the year.
Trailing by three at halftime, the Warriors outscored Salt Lake by 10 points in the second half to remain undefeated in 2025. Indian Hills scored 10 of the final 12 points of the game to move to 3-1 all-time vs. the Bruins.
Sophomores Taj Au-Duke (Toronto, Canada/Pepperdine) and KJ LaMonte (Davenport, IA/New Mexico Highlands) each tallied a game-high 16 points. Au-Duke finished the game 8-14 from the floor while LaMonte was a perfect 10-10 from the free throw line.

Sophomore Vladyslav Semerych (Horishni Plavni, Ukraine/Cherkassy) added 12 points on 4-4 shooting while sophomore Chiang Ring (Minneapolis, MN/Murray State) pulled down a game-high seven rebounds to go along with 11 points and a pair of blocks.
As a team, Indian Hills outrebounded the Bruins 38-30 on the day while forcing 14 Salt Lake turnovers. Indian Hills outmuscled the Bruins in the paint with a 34-20 advantage down low. The Warriors tied for a season-low with 12 turnovers committed in the victory.
It was all Warriors early on as Indian Hills jumped out to a 15-3 advantage through the first five minutes of play thanks to seven quick points from Sawyer Mayhugh (Weston, MA/Queens). Indian Hills maintained a comfortable distance before the Bruins put together a strong finish to the opening half as Salt Lake took a 35-32 lead into the locker room.
The Bruins continued to hold their lead through the early goings of the second half, leading by as many as six before a bucket from LaMonte at the 8:07 mark gave the Warriors a 57-56 lead. The two sides traded buckets over the next several minutes, but two key pull-up jumpers from Au-Duke sparked the Warriors down the stretch. Indian Hills held the Bruins to just two points over the final 3:37 to pick up the win.
The Warriors return to action Saturday afternoon against host Snow College (UT), ranked No. 9 in the latest National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) DI Men's Basketball Poll. Action from the Horne Center gets underway at 4:00 PM CT.
