2025-26 INDIAN HILLS MEN'S BASKETBALL ROSTER
Ottumwa, IA – Indian Hills Men's Basketball Head Coach Cole Dewey has finalized the 2025-26 roster for the Warriors' upcoming campaign.
Indian Hills returns four sophomores from last year's national tournament run in addition to eight newcomers, including five sophomores transfers.
Get to know this year's roster:
| #0 | Mason Costello | G | So. | 6'4 | 190 |
Waukee, IA / Waukee |
Costello returns to the Warriors after a standout freshman season that saw the sharpshooter earn NJCAA All-Region 11 Honorable Mention honors. Costello appeared in all 32 contests, making 19 starts on the year while averaging 8.2 points per game. The Waukee native led the ICCAC in three-point shots made and attempted on the year.
Dewey on Costello: "Mason had a great summer playing in recruiting events and picked up a bunch of Division 1 offers. He has put on 15-20 pounds of muscle and has worked tirelessly this off-season to expand his game. Expect a big year from him!"
| #2 | Javeyn Martin | G | R-Fr. | 6'1 | 170 |
Anderson, SC / T.L. Hanna |
Martin returns to the Warriors for the 2025-26 campaign after a redshirt freshman campaign. Martin was named to the ICCAC Academic All-Region 11 Second-Team for his work in the classroom
Dewey on Martin: "Even though Lil-J didn't see a minute of game action last year, he was still a big part of our program and the success we had. He's an every-day guy who never takes a rep off. Coming off a full year of just practicing as a red-shirt, he is hungry to play and will us to win a lot of games."
| #3 | Ater Manyuon | G | So. | 6'5 | 195 |
Austin, MN / We Are United Prep |
Manyuon is back for his second season as a Warrior after a productive freshman campaign. Manyuon appeared in 22 contests as a freshman, making a pair of starts on the year. The high-flying wing averaged 4.8 points, going for double-figures four-times on the year. Manyuon was twice-named to the ICCAC ACademic All-Region team as a freshman
Dewey on Manyuon: "AT is loading up for a breakout year. Everyone knows he is a high flyer and an ESPN Top-10 moment could happen at any time. But he is so much more than that, and I know he is excited to show Warrior Nation how much more he can do. AT is one of the best I've seen in the open floor and finishing around the rim and has come a long way on the defensive end. He's obviously a natural scorer, but should be one of our better defenders this year as well."
| #5 | Jamin Biteler | G | Fr. | 6'0 | 200 |
East Sioux Falls, SD / Hilcrest Prep |
Bitler comes to Indian Hills after a standout prep career that included stops at both Hillcrest Prep (AZ) and Wesley Christian (KY).
Dewey on Bitler: "JB is a true freshman that brings energy and effort every day. He is as strong as they come for a small guard and will use that to his advantage on both ends of the floor. He will continue to get better and show improvements throughout the year and I have no doubt his best basketball is ahead of him."
| #7 | Xavier Wilson | F | Fr. | 6'7 | 200 |
Kansas City, MO / Staley |
Wilson starred at Staley High SChool in Kansas City, MO, leading the program to the 2023 Missouri State Championship. Wilson, an explosive forward, earned All-State honors and was named the 2025 GKCSC Gold Division Player of the Year. Wilson was rated as the No. 8 ranked prospect in the state of Missouri, based on data from 247Sports
Dewey on Wilson: "Xavier comes from Staley High School in Kansas City where they have been known to produce high-level college basketball players over the last decade. His IQ and feel for the game is as high as I've seen for a true freshman, and is one of the best passers I've been around for a guy who is every bit of 6'7. Expect Zay to get better and better every game you watch this year."
| #8 | Taj Au-Duke | G | So. | 6'3 | 190 |
Toronto, Canada / Pepperdine University |
Au-Duke joins the Warriors after spending his rookie campaign at Pepperdine University. In his true freshman season, Au-Duke appeared in 31 contests for the Waves. Prior to his time with Pepperdine, Au-Duke starred in Canada at Bill Crothers Secondary School in Ontario. Au-Duke capped his prep career at CALI Prep and earned a spot on Canada's U16 National team, competing in the FIBA 2021 Americas Championship, placing third overall.
Dewey on Au-Duke: "Taj comes to us from Pepperdine University where he played in over 30 games as a true freshman. He is a true point guard, which is rare to find these days. His daily leadership comes naturally and is a true pass-first guy, so all of his teammates already enjoy playing alongside him. And when it's time to go score, he can do that as well."
| #13 | KJ LaMonte | G | So. | 6'3 | 185 |
Davenport, IA / New Mexico Highlands University |
LaMonte joins the Warriors after a solid freshman season at New Mexico Highlands where the playmaker appeared in 28 contests with 14 starts, averaging 10.4 points on the year. Prior to his time with the Cowboys, LaMonte starred for Rock Island High School in Rock Island, IL where he was a member of the school's 1,000-point club, earning All-State honors.
Dewey on LaMonte: "KJ is as tough as they come. He showed that last year at New Mexico Highlands. Once he got his first start midway through the season as a true freshman, he never looked back and started the entire second half of the year. He is a strong and athletic combo guard who has a great understanding of the game and what it takes to win. KJ's father played in this league years ago at Marshalltown and went on to play D1 and 10-plus years professionally. He's been taught from a young age how to play the game, and we are excited to have another Iowa native on the team."
| #15 | Vladyslav Semerych | F | So. | 6'9 | 210 |
Horishni Plavni, Ukraine / Cherkassy |
Semerych is back for year two at Indian Hills after a strong freshamn season for the Warriors. Semerych appeared in 30 contests in the frontcourt for the Warriors, making 14 starts on the year. Semerych scored in double-figures four times on the year, including a season-high 18 points to go along with 14 rebounds in a win over Elgin. Semerych was twice named to the ICCAC Academic All-Region 11 squad for his work in the classroom.
Dewey on Semerych: "Vlad came on strong late in the year last season, and it was hard to keep him off the floor. He is a naturally gifted offensive player, and makes reads off of screens that's hard to teach and even harder for opponents to guard. Expect Vlad to pick up right where he left off last year."
| #21 | Sawyer Mayhugh | F | R-Fr. | 6'9 | 225 |
Weston, MA / UMASS / Queens University |
Mayhugh joins the Warriors as a redshirt freshman for the 2025-26 campaign after previously attending Queens University in North Carolina for the 2024-25 season. Mayhugh prepped at renowned Brewster Academy in New Hampshire where he led the team to the 2022 NEPSAC New England Championship and was named 2023 MVP of the NEPSAC, averaging over 20.0 points per contest.
Dewey on Mayhugh: "Sawyer is an extremely gifted young man at 6'10, and 225 pounds of muscle. He's a threat for opponents to dribble, pass, and shoot at all times and can make plays for himself or others at will. He's played for some high-level programs over his career, and it will be no different here at Hills. He's a special talent and will go as far as he wants to with this game."
| #22 | Mattia De Martin | G | Fr. | 6'8 | 205 |
Vicenza, Italy |
De Martin joins the Warriors after a standout youth career in Italy. De Martin competed for the U20 Italian National Team, helping the squad claim the U20 European National Championship.
Dewey on De Martin: "Mattia comes to us from Italy where he was the leading scorer for the U20 national team. He is a skilled 6'8, do it all point-forward who should have a great freshman campaign here."
| #23 | Chaz Watson | G | So. | 6'3 | 195 |
Kansas City, MO / Cleveland State University |
Watson transfers to Indian Hills after his true freshman campaign at Cleveland State University under head coach and Indian Hills alum Daniyal Robinson. Watson attended Lee's Summit West High School in Lee's Summit, MO where he was a Missouri 6A All-State selection.
Dewey on Watson: "Chaz comes highly recommended from one of our own, Daniyal Robinson, who coached him all last year at Cleveland State. Chaz is a high-level shooter who is skilled enough to make plays off the bounce and finish at the rim. He is a naturally gifted scorer who you can expect to have some big games for us this year."
| #24 | Chiang Ring | F | So. | 6'8 | 215 |
Minneapolis, MN / Murray State University |
Ring transfers to Indian Hills after spending his rookie season at Murray State University. Ring attended Park Center High School in Brooklyn Park, MN where he was a four-time All-Conference and All-Defensive Team selection. Ring was a member of the school's 1,000-point club and was a top-10 finalist for Minnesota Mr. Basketball.
Dewey on Ring: "Chiang comes to us after a full year last year at Murray State learning under Steve Prohm. We recruited Chiang a year ago before he chose to go the D1 route, and are extremely excited to finally get to coach him. He is known for being one of the best shot blockers in the country, and shows just that every day. Since he's been on campus he has worked on his shot every morning at 8am on the shooting machine, and I have no doubt that he is locked in and ready for a breakout year."
