Ottumwa, IA – The Indian Hills Athletic Department set a new academic standard with a record 115 selections to the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) All-Academic Team, announced by the national office Friday.
16 Indian Hills Athletic programs were represented across the three NJCAA All-Academic teams, led by 25 members of the Indian Hills Baseball squad. The men's track & field team added 20 recipients while the softball team earned 17 selections follow by 13 individuals from the men's soccer squad.
To earn NJCAA All-Academic honors, individual student-athletes are awarded first-team status with a 4.0 GPA throughout the academic year. Second-team honorees consist of student-athletes with a GPA of 3.80 to 3.99, while third-team recipients posted a GPA of 3.60-3.79.
The Warriors have now set a new NJCAA All-Academic record in each of the last three years, improving from 63 selections in 2022-23 to 83 individuals in 2023-24.
In addition to the individual honors, 14 Indian Hills Athletics programs were named a NJCAA Academic Team of the Year for maintaining a cumulative 3.0 Team GPA throughout the academic year.

A record 35 student-athletes were named to the first-team, including 18 freshman. Four sophomores – Cole Huebner (baseball), Tijmen Nagel (baseball), Peyton Raley (softball), and Jesse Hinkle (men's wrestling) were named to the first-team for the second consecutive year, completing a two-year career at Indian Hills with a cumulative 4.0 GPA.
In total, 25 individuals repeated on the NJCAA All-Academic team from a year ago. Throughout the 2024-25 campaign, 14 individuals were named NJCAA All-Americans for their athletic success while earning a spot on the NJCAA All-Academic team:
