Fans of Indian Hills Community College have plenty to look forward to this weekend with an action-packed lineup of Warrior athletics on the docket. Both home and road events highlight a busy two days for Warrior Nation – here's what to watch for.
No. 11 volleyball takes on top competition in Texas
The Warriors are coming off a competitive loss to No. 2 Iowa Western Wednesday night at the Hellyer Center. Head coach Lyndsey Michel's team wastes no time getting back into the swing of things with a trip to the TJC Invite in Tyler, TX against three nationally ranked opponents.
The Warriors take on No. 3 Blinn College at 11:00 AM Friday and tournament host Tyler Junior College, ranked No. 8 in the national poll at 5:00 PM on Friday. Indian Hills wraps up play against No. 12 Missouri State-West Plains at 10:00 AM Saturday morning.

IHCC Sports Shooting to host a pair of duals
Head coach Jake Stalzer's shooting squad opened up the season last week with a convincing win over Southwestern. The Warriors' home stretch continues with a pair of duals this weekend.
Indian Hills opens up Friday night against Southeastern Community College at 4:30 PM at the Ottumwa Izaak Walton League. The Blackhawks are currently 0-1 on the year. Indian Hills jumps back into action at 11:00 AM Saturday morning against Northeast Iowa Community College (0-3), also at the Izaak Walton League.

No. 10 women's soccer squares off at home with No. 4 Iowa Western
The premiere home event of the weekend pits two unbeaten, nationally ranked squads against each other at 1:00 PM Saturday at Schafer Stadium in Ottumwa. No. 10 Indian Hills (10-0-0, 1-0-0) hosts No. 4 Iowa Western Community College (6-0-0, 1-0-0).
An annual rivalry game, both teams are coming off of national tournament appearances from a season ago. The Warriors earned a signature win over the Reivers last year during the regular season, a 2-1 win on May 5. The first of two matchups in the Fall 2021 season have all the makings of an instant classic.
The two teams combine for over 11 goals per game this season, including a nation-best 7.50 mark from the Warriors behind three of the top-six individual scoring leaders in the nation. On the defensive front, both sides are only allowing 0.50 goals per contest.

Men's Soccer to battle No. 2 Iowa Western at home
The Indian Hills Men's Soccer team is set to host its third ranked opponent in as many matches when No. 2 Iowa Western Community College comes to town. The two squads will square off at 3:00 PM Saturday at Schafer Stadium in Ottumwa.
Indian Hills is coming off a thrilling 3-3 come-from-behind draw with nationally ranked Marshalltown Community College on Tuesday, a showing that proved the Warriors can battle with the top teams in the Iowa Community College Athletic Conference (ICCAC) ahead of Saturday's match with the Reivers.

Cross country to compete at Grand View Invite
Two more nationally ranked Indian Hills programs will be in action on Saturday as the men's and women's cross country teams head to Ankeny, IA for the Grand View Invitational, hosted by Grand View University at the DMACC Cross Country Course.
The men are currently ranked No. 14 in the country while the women enter Saturday's meet ranked No. 17, both announced by the United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association on Wednesday.

Softball heads to University of Iowa
The Indian Hills Softball fall season is in full swing with three games already to their name in September. The Warriors key matchups for the fall season comes Sunday afternoon when Indian Hills takes on a pair of NCAA Division I programs at Bob Pearl Softball Field on the University of Iowa campus.
The Warriors will take on Illinois State University at 2:30 PM followed by a matchup with the Iowa Hawkeyes at 5:00 PM.

Baseball-Wrestling Banquet tickets on sale
Tickets for the Indian Hills inaugural Baseball-Wrestling Banquet are still on sale. The event, headlined by MLB veteran Turk Wendell, is scheduled for Sept. 29 at Bessie's Barn in Centerville, IA.
