NJCAA NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP BRACKETS
Centerville, IA – 15 members of the Indian Hills Women's Wrestling squad have learned their seed and first round opponents for the upcoming National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) National Invitational in Council Bluffs, IA March 6-7 at the Mid-America Center.
14 of the 15 individuals heading to the national invitational earned a top-eight seed in their respective brackets, headlined by No. 1 overall seed and defending national champion Ariah Mervilus (Virginia Beach, VA/Landstown) who earned the top spot at 110lbs. Sophomore Brooklyn Noel Moore, OK/Moore), a 2025 All-American, earned the No. 1 seed in the 103lb bracket.
In addition, four Warriors earned No. 2 seeds in their respective brackets – defending national champion Nevaeh Hayden (Tulsa, OK/Union) at 160lbs, returning All-American Paola Rodriguez (Vega Baja, Puerto Rico/Rosalina C. Martinez) at 180lbs, and freshmen Abigail Querida Verdejo Rivero (Stillwater, OK/Stillwater) at 117lbs and Azreal Smith (Tulsa, OK/Union) at 235lbs.
The Warriors, who have claimed five consecutive national championships, head into postseason ranked No. 1 in the nation.
