Ottumwa -- Indian Hills freshman setter Yanjiao Zhao (pictured above) was the Iowa Community College Athletic Conference Division I Volleyball Player of the Week, for the week ending Oct. 11. It's the second straight time an Indian Hills player won the award. Tamara Merseli was the winner the previous week.

In five matches during the week, with her team going 5-0, Zhao had 190 assists in 17 sets. The Warriors dropped only two of the 17 sets and ran their winning streak to 18 consecutive matches.

Zhao is enjoying an outstanding season for the Warriors, ranking third in the nation in assists with 981, an average of 11.54 per set. She is also averaging 1.71 digs per set while playing in all 25 matches. Her 28 service aces ranks third on the Warriors.
