Ottumwa -- Playing for the first time with the highest volleyball ranking in school history, Indian Hills didn't let its No. 3 spot in the polls be a distraction as the Warriors took care of the visiting Grand View JV in three sets on Wednesday night. The Warriors shot out to a quick lead with a 25-10 win in the opening set, then won the next two sets, 25-18 and 25-17, to extend their current winning streak to 14 matches and improve their overall record to 19-2.
The victory was the 100th at IHCC for head coach Lyndsey Michel, now in her 4th season as head coach of the Warriors after a year as an assistant under Terry Carlson. She has a mark of 100-44.
Indian Hills heads to Missouri this weekend for a tournament hosted by Mineral Area College. They will play Lake Land and Mineral Area on Friday, and will face off against McKendree and Rend Lake on Saturday.
