Ottumwa -- For the third time, Indian Hills outside hitter Tamara Merseli has been named a volleyball Athlete of the Week by the Iowa Community College Athletic Conference. The sophomore was especially impressive in the Warriors' trip to Texas last weekend, when Indian Hills won four straight matches, including three victories against ranked teams, one of them top-rated Tyler Junior College.

Merseli totaled 70 kills in the Tyler tourney and an earlier 3-0 sweep of Marshalltown and she also had 41 digs in those five matches.

A returning NJCAA All-American, Merseli and her teammates will take on the Grand View JV Wednesday night at 7 at the Tom Arnold Net Center.
