Warriors Rally to Down Mineral Area

Park Hills, Mo. -- The Indian Hills volleyball team found itself in an unfamiliar position Monday night -- trailing 2-1 in a match for only the third time all season. The Warriors rallied to win the five-set match, taking the final two sets, 25-19 and 15-12 to improve their season record to 24-2.

IHCC outlasted the hosts to win the first set 28-26, then dropped the next two, 25-14 and 25-21, before coming from behind to notch the victory.

Tamara Merseli enjoyed a big night for the Warriors, pounding a team-high 26 kills and adding two blocks and 24 digs. Lauren Streets had 11 kills and led IHCC with 30 digs. Kameo Pope was credited with five blocks and 13 kills.

Mineral Area won't have to wait long to try and get some revenge against the Warriors -- the two teams will meet in the Jefferson College tournament this weekend. Indian Hills will play at Kirkwood Wednesday night before going to Missouri for four matches in the upcoming weekend.
