West Plains, Mo. -- Indian Hills picked up an impressive road win at Missouri State-West Plains on Wednesday night, staying perfect for the season with a 3-2 win over the Grizzlies. The Warriors are 6-0 for the year, heading into a tournament in Highland, Kans. this weekend.

IHCC had to battle from behind for the first time this year, dropping two of the first three sets. They won set-one 25-18, then lost 25-13 and 25-21. But the Warriors stormed back to take the fourth set 26-24, then outlasted MS-WP 16-14 in the deciding set.

It was the third time in six matches the Warriors have beaten a team that appeared in the NJCAA preseason ratings. MS-WP was 12th in the DI poll.

Indian Hills got strong net play from freshman Tamara Merseli who hammered 26 kills. Teammate Kameo Pope contributed 17 kills to the IHCC win.

Merseli and Sarah Ryder each had 19 digs, one more than Lauren Streets.
