Cedar Rapids, Ia. -- Tamara Merseli had her second straight outstanding road match on Wednesday night and the Indian Hills Warriors used the strong net play by their freshman standout in a 3-1 win over Kirkwood, the Warriors' 25th win of the season.

Merseli had a team-best 24 kills and also chipped in five blocks and seven digs as IHCC won the first two sets, 25-19 and 25-14. After Kirkwood pulled out the third set, 25-18, the Warriors closed out the match in decisive fashion, winning 25-12.

The Warriors' Merseli was coming off a performance at Mineral Area two nights before when she led Indian Hills with 26 kills.

Against Kirkwood, Lauren Streets paced the Warriors with 25 digs and setter Katie Soddy had 21 digs to go along with 49 assists. Kameo Pope led with six blocks as IHCC ran its season record to 25-2.
