Missouri State - West Plains' first-ever trip to Ottumwa to play Indian Hills in volleyball was a memorable one. The Grizzlies came from behind in the third and fifth sets and dealt a tough loss to the Warriors on Monday night.

Indian Hills scored the first five points in the fifth set and led 11-7, but couldn't sustain the momentum and saw the visitors come back to steal the final set, 15-12, tallying the final five points of the night.

The Warriors had done some rallying of their own to extend the match to five sets, coming from nine points down in set four to win 25-21.

Getting off to a fast start, IHCC took the opening set 25-16. MS-WP got untracked in the second set, winning 25-17.

Sophomore Kassidy Guihan was serving set point in the third set with the Warriors on top, 24-23. The Grizzlies got a side-out and won the next two points to take the set, 26-24.

The Warriors showed some heart by rallying in the fourth set. They got even at 18-all and the score was tied at 19 and 20 before Indian Hills ran off four straight points and stayed alive in the match with the 25-21 decision.

Peyton Crosser paced the Warriors' offense with 15 kills and eight blocks. And Guihan was outstanding all night long in her libero position.

The Warriors head to Missouri this weekend for the East Central Tournament with matches on Friday and Saturday.
