Ottumwa, IA – Freshman Kayla McCray of the Indian Hills Women's Outdoor Track & Field team has been named this week's Iowa Community College Athletic Conference (ICCAC) DI Outdoor Female Track Athlete of the Week. The Warriors have now received four outdoor weekly honors from the conference office.

Competing at the KT Woodman Classic in Wichita, KS, McCray dashed to a pair of school records in blazing time. In the 100-meter dash, McCray took third overall out of 71 athletes with an all-conditions Indian Hills-best time of 11.49. McCray followed up in the 200-meter dash with a time of 24.09 also a school record to place second overall amongst 84 athletes.

Along with 100m and 200m outdoor records, McCray set a school record in the 60-meter dash at the indoor national championships and is a member of the record breaking 4x100 outdoor squad.

McCray was also awarded the ICCAC Athlete of the Week as part of the women's 4x100 quartet on April 5. The Warrior women have claimed two additional outdoor athletes of the week this year along with three honors during the indoor season.
