ANDERSON NABS ICCAC ATHLETE OF THE WEEK HONOR

Ottumwa, IA – Sophomore Kahliyah Anderson (Texarkana, TX/Texas) of the Indian Hills Women's Track & Field team was selected as this week's Iowa Community College Athletic Conference (ICCAC) Female Outdoor Track & Field Athlete of the Week. Anderson put together a number of impressive performances at the Emporia State Relays.

In the team's first outdoor meet of the 2022 campaign, Anderson set the Indian Hills school record in the 200-meter dash with a time of 24.29 to finish second overall. The time is the third fastest mark in the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) this year.

Anderson ran a time of 11.93 in the 100-meter dash which ranks second all-time in Indian Hills history and was good enough for third overall at the event. Anderson's time currently ranks eighth in the NJCAA.

As part of the women's 4x100-meter relay, Anderson served as the anchor for the quartet that broke the school record with a time of 45.88 and placed first overall at the relays. The time is currently No. 2 in the NJCAA this season.

After a strong indoor season and a dominant start to the outdoor season, Anderson and the Warriors are back in action this weekend at the Friends University Invitational April 1-2 in Wichita, KS.
