Centerville, IA – Freshman Shehabeldin Mohamed (Alexandria, Egypt/Smouha Military) of the No. 2 nationally ranked Indian Hills Men's Wrestling team has been named this week's Iowa Community College Athletic Conference (ICCAC) Men's Wrestling Athlete of the Week, announced Tuesday afternoon by the conference office.

Mohamed recorded the biggest win of his college career to lead the Warriors to a top-10 victory on the road at No. 8 Rochester Community & Technical College Friday night. Mohamed knocked off No. 2 nationally ranked Cohen Wiste with a 21-4 tech fall at 149lbs.

Mohamed struck first with a three-point takedown before rattling off 10 points in the second period to pull away. Mohamed scored a four-point takedown with less than a minute remaining in the third to secure the tech fall, 21-4.

Mohamed has put together an impressive start to the 2024-25 season as the freshman has posted a 3-1 dual record, with his lone loss coming in a 1-0 decision. Mohamed has also tallied top-five finishes in a pair of tournaments on the year.

The Warriors are back in action Saturday with the annual Art Kraft Memorial Tournament in River Grove, IL.
