2023-24 INDIAN HILLS MEN'S WRESTLING SCHEDULE
Centerville, IA – The Indian Hills Men's Wrestling squad has released its schedule for the 2023-24 year. The Warriors are set to open the season at home on November 2.
"Really excited about how our schedule finished up," stated head coach Cole Spree. "Obviously anytime you can compete at home it is great. This year we are able to do that five times which is awesome for the student-athletes and our community. Along with a great dual schedule we will be headed to some very competitive open tournaments as well. This will allow us to bring larger numbers to participate and see how we stack up against some NCAA and NAIA programs."
Coming off the program's third consecutive top-10 finish at the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) National Championships, the Warriors will host five duals at the Multi-Purpose Building this year while also competing in a number of highly competitive open tournaments.
The season opens up November 2 at home with a nonconference dual vs. Carl Albert State College (OK), a program that placed 15th at last year's national championship. Indian Hills opens up Iowa Community College Athletic Conference (ICCAC) dual action at Iowa Lakes Community College on November 8 before hosting its first conference dual against Iowa Western Community College on November 15.
The Warriors will welcome Trinidad State College (CO) for a nonconference dual on December 10 before closing out the first half of the season at the Avila Duals on December 16 in Kansas City, MO.
After taking on the Roger Denker Open in Warrensburg, MO on January 14, the Warriors return to ICCAC action at Ellsworth Community College on January 17. Indian Hills returns home to host league foe North Iowa Area Community College on January 24 before closing out the ICCAC portion of its schedule at home vs. Iowa Lakes on January 31.
The Warriors' schedule also features trips to Simpson College's Luther Hill Invitational on November 4, the Lindenwood Open on November 18 in St. Charles, MO, the Art Kraft Memorial Tournament on December 9 in River Grove, IL, the Worthington Open in Worthington, MN on January 20, and the Loras Open on January 27 in Dubuque, IA. Indian Hills closes out the regular season at the Missouri Valley Open on February 3 in Marshall, MO.
The 2024 NJCAA North Central District Championship is set for February 11, hosted by Iowa Lakes in Estherville, IA while the 2024 NJCAA National Championship is slated for March 1-2 in Council Bluffs, IA at the Mid-America Center.
