Ottumwa, IA – Freshman Joska Nelis (Haarlem, Netherlands/Lyceum Sancta Maria) has been named the Iowa Community College Athletic Conference (ICCAC) DI Women's Golfer of the Week for the second consecutive week, announced Tuesday afternoon.
Nelis paced the Warriors for the second consecutive outing as the freshman led Indian Hills to an 11th-place finish at The Velvet Classic in Paducah, KY. Nelis, who was named ICCAC Athlete of the Week last week after winning the 2024 Statesmen Invitational tied for 26th overall in the 91-athlete field at the Country Club of Paducah.
Nelis posted round scores of 75-80-82-237 to finish 21-over as the Warriors competed as the lone junior college program in the field comprised of primarily NCAA Division I opponents.
The Warriors return to action October 7 at the Evangel University Invitational in Joplin, MO, hosted by Twin Hills Country Club.
