Ottumwa, IA – Freshman Joska Nelis (Haarlem, Netherlands/Lyceum Sancta Maria) of the Indian Hills Women's Golf team has been named the Iowa Community College Athletic Conference (ICCAC) DI Women's Golf Athlete of the Week.

Nelis helped make history for Indian Hills last week as the Warriors captured the 2024 Statesmen Invitational title in the program's first-ever collegiate competition. Nelis took home the top individual medalist honors to give the Warriors a clean sweep at the podium.

Nelis captures the first ICCAC Athlete of the Week honor in program history after firing a 7-over, 142 at the Edmundson Golf Course to lead the Warriors. The freshman posted an opening round 75 before tallying a 74 in the second round, the lowest score over the final 18 holes of action. Nelis placed first overall, winning by one stroke.
