USTFCCCA TEAM RANKINGS | USTFCCCA EVENT SQUAD RANKINGS
Ottumwa, IA – In the first release of the 2025 United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) National Rankings, the defending national champion Indian Hills Men's Track & Field squad checked in atop the polls as the No. 1 ranked team.
The Warriors, who claimed the 2024 National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) Indoor Track & Field Championship for the first time in program history, sit atop the national rankings with 435.62 team points, nearly 200 points ahead of No. 2 New Mexico Junior College. The Warriors, who are also ranked No. 1 in the USTFCCCA Midwest Region rankings, claimed the top event squad marks in five separate categories.
Through six meets on the year, the Warriors are off to another record-breaking start with numerous school records and top-five all-time marks. The Warriors have already set four school records to go along with 24 all-time top-five performances.
INDIAN HILLS MEN'S TRACK & FIELD RECORD BOOK
Indian Hills has put together impressive showings in the field events with the No. 1 event squad in both the shot put and weight throw. Sophomore All-American Tate Joens (Cedar Rapids, IA/Cedar Rapids Prairie), a runner-up in the weight throw at last year's national championship, boasts the top mark in the event this year with a distance of 19.37m. Fellow sophomore Kaden Banks (Onalaska, WI/Holmen) currently ranks No. 3 in the nation in the shot put with a school record mark of 17.23m.
Sophomore All-American Triston Miller (Columbus Junction, IA/Columbus Junction) leads the No. 1 nationally ranked 60m hurdle squad with a school record time of 7.86, third-best in the NJCAA this year.
The 200m dash squad, ranked No. 1 in the initial national rankings is led by the top two marks in the nation this year from freshmen Domictress Robinson (Jacksonville, FL/Jean Ribault) and Supreme Muhammad with times of 21.16 and 21.33, respectively.
The Warrior 800m squad, which has seen four national champions and 10 top-three finishes in the indoor and outdoor national championships over the past four seasons, is ranked No. 1 in the nation with the top-four all-conditions marks this year. Led by Raynier Galvez (Paterson, NJ/Passaic County), Nichalas Power (Riverton City, Jamaica), Jaquan Coke (Kingston, Jamaica/Kingston College), and Cayde de Waal (Brakpan, South Africa/Hoërskool Oosterlig), the Warriors have recorded an average time of 1:50.77 through the early stages of the season.
In total, the Warriors are ranked in the top-five in the nation in 10 separate events.
Indian Hills has now been ranked No. 1 in the nation in the indoor rankings for seven consecutive polls after earning the top spot in all six national rankings during the team's title run in 2024.
The Warriors return to action January 31 - February 1 at the Washburn Open in Topeka, KS.
