ALLEN LANDS ICCAC ATHLETE OF THE WEEK HONOR

Ottumwa, IA – Sophomore Damoy Allen (Utica, NY/Utica Proctor) has been named this week's Iowa Community College Athletic Conference (ICCAC) Male Track & Field Athlete of the Week. Allen put together an impressive performance at the Bearcat Open for the Warriors.

Allen set a school record in the men's 60-meter dash with a mark of 6.71, the fifth-fastest time in the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) this year. The time also earned Allen a second-place finish at the meet against four-year competition.

Allen, who will compete at the University of Iowa next year, earned his second personal-best time of the meet in the men's 200-meter dash as the sophomore sprinted to a 21.38 mark, good enough for second-place once again.

Four different Warriors have now earned conference Athlete of the Week accolades through the first four weeks of the season.

Allen and the Warrior sprinters have continued to set new standards this year and have carried the team to a No. 4 nationally ranking in the United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) poll).

Indian Hills returns to action this weekend at the Gorilla Classic in Pittsburg, KS at the Robert W. Plaster Center, home to this year's NJCAA Indoor National Championship March 4-5.
