Ottumwa, IA – Rivaldo Marshall (Kingston, Jamaica/Calabar) of the Indian Hills Men's Track & Field team has been selected as this week's Iowa Community College Athletic Conference (ICCAC) DI Men's Athlete of the Week.
Marshall has provided a spark early on to the Warrior program during his freshman campaign. At the Hawkeye Invitational over the weekend, Marshall collected his second school record with a program-best time of 1:18.56 in the 600-meter dash. The time is the top mark in the nation and qualifies Marshall for the indoor national championships.
Marshall now holds school records in the 600-meter and 800-meter events with national qualifying times and has also qualified for the 1000-meter run at the national indoor meet March 4-5 in Pittsburg, KS.
Marshall and the Warriors head to the Iowa State Open in Ames, IA on Jan. 22.
