MALAGUTI NAMED NATIONAL KEEPER OF THE WEEK

Ottumwa, IA – Sophomore keeper Matteo Malaguti (Mantova, Italy/Liceo Isabella d'este Mantova) of the No. 10 nationally ranked Indian Hills Men's Soccer squad has been named the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) DI Men's Soccer Goalkeeper of the Week, announced Wednesday morning by the national office.

Malaguti lands his second weekly honor, and most prestigious accolade of his collegiate career after leading the Warriors to a signature win. Malaguti, who was also named the Iowa Community College Athletic Conference (ICCAC) DI Men's Soccer Goalkeeper of the Week, led Indian Hills to a 1-0 victory over No. 1 nationally ranked Iowa Western Community College.

The win over the Reivers snapped a 39-match unbeaten streak for the defending national champions while Malaguti's shutout was the first scoreless effort from Iowa Western all year long.

The Warriors return to action October 24 with a trip to Belleville, IL to take on Southwestern Illinois College (6-5-4) at 3:00 PM.
