Ottumwa, IA – The Indian Hills Men's and Women's Soccer teams return to the IHCC Soccer Complex for a nonconference doubleheader on Wednesday afternoon as the Warriors host visiting Iowa Lakes Community College.

The Indian Hills Soccer squads will host Iowa Lakes in a pair of cross-division nationally ranked matchups as the Lakers of Iowa Lakes visit Ottumwa for a mid-week clash.

NATIONALLY RANKED MATCHUPS

• The Indian Hills Men enter Wednesday's matchup ranked No. 2 in the nation. The Warriors have now been ranked No. 2 in the NJCAA DI Men's Soccer Poll for three consecutive weeks.

• The Indian Hills Women jumped to No. 19 in the NJCAA DI Women's Soccer Poll in the latest rankings this week. The Warriors have now been ranked in consecutive polls for the first time since 2021.

WARRIORS TO WATCH

Both the Indian Hills Men's and Women's Soccer teams are well represented in the team and individual statistical leaderboards heading into Wednesday's matchups.

• Sophomore Arnicka Louis has powered the women's offense this year with six goals and a pair of assists. Louis' 14 points currently rank 9th in the nation.
• Louis, a two-time ICCAC Athlete of the Week this year, has climbed the all-time Indian Hills Women's Soccer record books and now ranks in the top-10 in career goals and points.
• Fellow sophomore Kiara Levac ranks 11th nationaly this year with 13 points (4g, 5a).
• Freshman Annabelle Combes ranks second in the nation with four wins this year and has allowed just one goal on the season and owns a 0.82 GAA.
• On the men's side, freshman Enzo de Almeida has scored a goal in all four contests this year and ranks 18th nationally with nine points on the year.
• Almeida and sophomore Diego Lazaro rank 1-2 in the ICCAC in total points.
• The Indian Hills Men rank 13th nationally with 17 goals on the year while the defense ranks third in the NJCAA with just one goal allowed on the year.

SCOUTING THE LAKERS (WOMEN)

Iowa Lakes heads to Ottumwa with a 3-2-0 overall record, having dropped its most recent matchup to NJCAA DI Iowa Western Community College 3-2 on September 3.

• The Lakers have outscored their opponents 15-5 on the year with three shutouts.
• Iowa Lakes has squared off against four nationally ranked foes so far this season.
• Ines Balaghni leads the Lakers with eight points (3g, 2a) this season.
• Eight different players have tallied a goal this year for the Lakers.
• Holly Poole has played all 450:00 in net for the Lakers and owns a 1.00 GAA on the year.
• The Warriors are 15-9-3 vs. the Lakers dating back to the 2012 season and are 7-2-1 in the last 10 meetings, including a 3-2 win in Spencer, IA last year.

SCOUTING THE LAKERS (MEN)

The Lakers enter Wednesday's clash with a 3-2-1 overall record after dropping its most recent matchup to NJCAA DII No. 2 Johnson County Community College 1-0 on September 7.

• Iowa Lakes has outscored its opponents 15-5 on the year and have pitched three shutouts.
• The Lakers tied its only other match this season against an NJCAA DI opponent, a 2-2 draw with Western Nebraska Community College.
• Sophomore Kenta Yagi leads the Lakers with nine points on the year (4g, 1a) while five players in total have tallied at least two goals on the yaer.
• Nithin Perumal leads the Lakers in net, having started all five contests with a 0.61 GAA.
• The Warriors and Lakers have tied each of its last two matchups, including a 2-2 draw last year in Spencer, IA. The two sides tied 0-0 in Ottumwa in 2023.

Both squads will head to Godfrey, IL this weekend to take on nationally ranked Lewis & Clark Community College. The women will matchup with the No. 16 ranked Blazers at 2:00 PM on Friday and the men will square off with No. 17 Lewis & Clark at 2:00 PM on Saturday.
