Two Goals by Santos Lead IHCC Men

Mason City, Iowa -- IHCC freshman Tulio Santos (pictured above) banged home two goals, both in the first half, and that was all the Warriors needed in a 2-1 conference win over NIACC on Saturday.

The Warriors used the pair of goals by Santos, plus solid work by goalkeepers Phillipe Catao and Ricardo Haro, in picking up their second league victory of the week. They had knocked off Scott CC on Tuesday.

Freshman Leonardo Lage assisted on both goals by Santos, who gave the Warriors their 2-0 halftime advantage. NIACC's Dion Dozzell scored late in the second half for the Trojans' lone tally, but they couldn't get the tying goal and IHCC upped its season record to 3-5.

Indian Hills out-shot NIACC 13-12 with Joao Brasil firing off five shots for the Warriors.

Indian Hills is back in action on Wednesday when the Warriors travel to Fort Dodge for a conference matchup with Iowa Central.
