Marshalltown, Iowa -- Marshalltown scored an early goal, in the 10th minute, and that was all the Tigers needed in a 2-0 blanking of Indian Hills in a conference match on Wednesday.
The Tigers added a goal to make it 2-0 later in the first half, but MCC didn't score again against IHCC goalkeeper Phillipe Catao, who was credited with six saves. The Warriors didn't have a shot the entire first half as they were bottled up by the Marshalltown defense. Their first shot didn't come until the 81st minute and they wound up with a total of five shots.
Indian Hills returns home to face league foe Iowa Lakes on Saturday afternoon.
