Ottumwa -- After a pair of tough losses on the road, the Indian Hills men's soccer team found the home pitch much more to their liking on Wednesday, getting goals from a half-dozen different players in a 7-0 blanking of Wentworth Miltary Academy.

The win was the first as head coach for IHCC's Jared Beauchamp, who saw his team grab a 3-0 halftime lead and then widen it in the final half.

Victor Gabriel opened the scoring for IHCC, taking a cross from Pedro Rosa and finding the back of the net. Gerald Valera and Gabriel Ferreira added goals later in the first half.

Joao Brasil, Jose Andres Gonzales and Joao Silva Lima all scored in the second half, as did Ferreira, the lone IHCC player with a multiple-goal game.

Indian Hills will welcome Iowa Western to the IHCC field on Saturday for the conference opener, starting at 2:00.
