Ottumwa -- The Indian Hills men's soccer team put up an oustanding fight against region power Iowa Western on Saturday, but the Warriors came up short in a 4-0 loss to the Reivers at the IHCC field.
Undefeated Iowa Western scored only one goal in the opening half as the Warriors played some of their best defense of the season against the defending national champs. However, the Reivers added three more scores in the final half.
Indian Hills was thwarted by the IWCC defense, getting only one shot on goal for the match, in losing their second 4-0 decision to Iowa Western this season.
The Warriors now set their sights on the postseason. Indian Hills takes on Iowa Lakes in Spencer at 3:00 on Wednesday afternoon in the opening round of the region tournament.
